Tate & Lyle Completes Combination with CP Kelco
ATLANTA (Nov. 15, 2024) – Today, Tate & Lyle PLC (Tate & Lyle), a global leader in sweetening, mouthfeel and fortification, announced the successful completion of its acquisition of CP Kelco from J.M. Huber Corporation (Huber).
The combination of CP Kelco and Tate & Lyle brings together CP Kelco’s nature-based, specialty ingredient solutions for stabilization and texture with Tate & Lyle’s expertise across its three core platforms of sweetening, mouthfeel, and fortification. This combination enhances both companies’ capabilities across a range of product categories, unlocking significant growth potential. Beyond food and beverage, CP Kelco’s expertise in consumer care and industrial applications provides the combined company with the potential to reach into additional, attractive end-markets.
Under the terms of the combination, Huber is now a shareholder with about 16% ownership in Tate & Lyle and currently holds two seats on its Board of Directors.
